What Referenced is.
Referenced (getreferenced.ai) is AI visibility tracking software. It checks whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and the add-on engines name your brand, what they say about it, which sources they cite, and how you compare with your competitors.
Clients started asking what ChatGPT says about them.
Ben Miller runs a web and SEO agency. Clients began asking what ChatGPT said about their business, and he could not give them an answer he trusted. One answer proved nothing, and the same question asked again could come back different.
So he built Referenced to ask the questions customers ask, repeat them every day, and keep every answer so the numbers can be checked. We started work in October 2025 and launched in October 2026.

Prompts are written from your domain and market, and you confirm them. Each one is asked in the AI products your buyers use.

Scans run on a schedule, and the headline figures are measured over a window of days, not from a single answer.

Every number has a source
Open any figure and read the full answer behind it, with the sources it cited and the brands it named.

Blank answers are left out
When an engine gives no answer at all, such as a search with no AI Overview, it is left out of your figures instead of counted against you.
